摘要: Mushrooms for Life among the Joti in Venezuelan Guayana. This paper explores relevance of mushrooms mythology and daily life Joti, an indigenous group inhabiting rain forests It is reported here how a personal experience author field stimulated deeper research into religious symbolism surrounding their role cosmology, ritual, dynamics. Different categories mushroom usage are described, including edible, medicinal, ritual uses. seem to be more important than most Amazonian groups. Most significantly, certain species key ingredients medicinal preparations used throughout cycle ways that reflect worldview mythology.
