摘要: Nematode parasites are the major animal health constraint in sheep production on pasture and cause serious economic losses. Because of failure anthelmintic drenches, a research effort has been underway to examine alternatives chemical control. One them is selecting which genetically resistant parasitic nematodes. However, this last not widely practiced because difficulty measuring parasite resistance mostly relies indirect criteria such as number nematode eggs passed faeces (FEC) packed cell volume (PCV) or enhanced eosinophils peripheral blood. Despite well known host immune reaction it impossible standardize any immunological parameter use an indicator infection. The aim finding some genetic markers associated with resistance/susceptibility nematodes make diagnostic work easier conduct earlier selection desirable genotypes. searching for reliable rather difficult due different sheep’s manifestation either adult larval stages same species against stage various manifestations responses antigens parasites. This review summarizes findings reported literature relating gastrointestinal sheep.
