摘要: The most important function of photosystem II (PSII) is its action as a water-plastoquinone oxido-reductase. At the expense light energy, water split, and oxygen plastoquinol are formed. In addition to this activity, PSII has additional functions, especially in regulation (light) energy distribution. downregulation during photoinhibition protection measure. an anthropogenic target for many herbicides. There unique bicarbonate on PSII. Decrease activity first effect plant under stress; decreased can be easily measured with fluorescence. sensor stress, induces regulatory processes different time scales: photochemical quenching, formation proton gradient, state transitions, by gene expression.
