摘要: Human factor XIIIa (FXIIIa) is a multifunctional transglutaminase with significant role in hemostasis. FXIIIa catalyzes the last step coagulation process. It stabilizes blood clot by cross-linking α- and γ-chains of fibrin. also protects newly formed from plasmin-mediated fibrinolysis, primarily α2-antiplasmin to Furthermore, major determinant size clot's red cells content. Therefore, inhibitors targeting have been considered develop new generation anticoagulants prevent and/or treat venous thromboembolism. Several discovered or designed including active site allosteric small molecule as well natural modified polypeptides. This work reviews structural, biochemical, pharmacological aspects so advance their molecular design become more clinically relevant.
