摘要: Objectives: The purpose of this randomized double-blinded clinical trial was to test the efficacy and tooth sensitivity promoted by use an in-office 15% H2O2 bleaching agent containing nanoparticles TiO_N photocatalyzed with LED/laser light (HP15) a control 35% (HP35). Methods: Forty healthy volunteers, both sexes, aged 18 25 yr, were randomly distributed in 2 groups: HP15 (n = 20) treated 3 sessions 48 min each, HP35 45 each. (E) evaluated ΔE values measured via reflectance spectroscopy. (S) analyzed visual analog scale (low, average, high, very high). absolute risk reduction number needed treat index calculated. data mixed repeated measures analysis variance Bonferroni-correction t (α 0.05). Results: For efficacy, significant differences found for (p .0001; ηp2 0.73 π 1.000) interaction protocols 0.319 1.000. level showed only between protocols. Absolute calculated 52% treat, 1.92. Conclusions: lower concentration levels presented greater compared (HP35) patients yr old. limitation short-term evaluation did not provide information about longevity (Brazilian Clinical Trials Registry Re Bec no.
