Testing the influence of the health belief model and a television program on nutrition behavior.

摘要: This study proposed to identify relevant factors of the health belief model (HBM) that provide motivation for people engage in healthy dietary behavior. The impact a TV program was also assessed using longitudinal with 300 participants and measuring influence path coefficients HBM predicted salience, motivation, eating practices. Findings suggested nutrition behavior influenced by susceptibility efficacy mediated through salience. Program viewing boosted salience regardless age, education, or household size significantly increasing viewers' confidence their knowledge base.
