摘要: Abstract The interaction of hadronic and purely muonic secondary cosmic rays is demonstrated by comparison Ge-background spectra with a coverage 1 15 meter water equivalent (m.w.e.), respectively. A compilation given cosmic-induced background lines, including processes like nuclear atomic de-excitation activation. Effects electron photon showers are investigated using different materials for the inner shield at mw.e. observed mainly consist bremsstrahlungs-continuum from shower electrons induced in annihilation photons same source partly stopped positive muons. In general, low activity lead most effective reduction, least above 90 keV, since it absorbs bremsstrahlung best has lowest γ-yield inelastic neutron scattering.
