摘要: Abstract The prognostic value of clinical factors, morphometric features and neopterin, a marker for macrophage activation, was investigated retrospectively in 68 ovarian carcinoma patients. Nuclear roundness good predictor patient survival. About 50% our patients showed neopterin concentrations above the cut-off level 275 μmol/mol creatinine. Interestingly, those with elevated urinary concentration, thus displaying sign activation cell-mediated immunity, had shorter survival than normal concentration. Applying multivariate Cox regression analysis, only independent parameters predicting were FIGO stage, residual disease, nuclear neopterin.
