摘要: Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) is considered promising for ubiquitous communication on roadways and one-hop broadcast plays a leading basic role in VANET. Thus, there strong need of high reliability related to packet transmission reception especially when VANET used life-safety applications. Though IEEE 802.11p has been defined as an international standard VANET, practice some limitations terms reliability. Therefore, new MAC protocol named Mobile Slotted Aloha (MS-Aloha) proposed developed by ISMB Italy achieve higher MS-Aloha become recommended ETSI after evaluation. However, because inefficient use radio channels, the still not satisfying under very congested traffic conditions urban area. In this paper, we propose Reliable TDMA-based One-hop Broadcast (RTOB). RTOB based MS-Aloha, inheriting all its advantages, can much making efficient channels. We also novel metric Cover Ratio (CR) which more appropriate than conventional Packet Delivery (PDR) evaluate from viewpoint This paper describes detail main principles techniques demonstrates quantitatively sufficiently both CR PDR clarifying channels even conditions.
