摘要: The ribosomal protein S16 (RPS16), the product of rps16, is generally encoded in chloroplast genomes flowering plants. However, it has been reported that chloroplast-encoded RPS16 mono- and dicotyledonous plants substituted by nuclear-encoded which was transferred from mitochondria to nucleus before early divergence angiosperms. Current databases show rps16 become a pseudogene four species Brassicaceae (Aethionema grandiflorum, Arabis hirsuta, Draba nemorosa, Lobularia maritima). Further analysis Arabidopsis thaliana its close relatives shown pseudogenization also occurred via loss splicing capacity (Arabidopsis Olimarabidopsis pumila). In contrast, spliced observed arenosa, lyrata, Crucihimalaya lasiocarpa). this study, we identified different functional status several genus relatives. Our results strongly suggest nuclear- genes coexisted for at least 126 million years. We raise possibility widespread angiosperm capacity, even when genome transcriptionally active.
