摘要: The cytokinetic ring is essential for separating daughter cells during division. It consists of actin filaments and myosin motors that are generally assumed to organize as sarcomeres similar skeletal muscles. However, direct evidence lacking. Here we show the internal organization dynamics rings different from distinct in cell types. Using micro-cavities orient single focal planes, find mammalian a transition homogeneous distribution periodic pattern clusters at onset constriction. In contrast, fission yeast, rotate prior Theoretical analysis indicates both patterns result acto-myosin self-organization reveals differences respective stresses. These findings suggest functional roles rings: contraction transport yeast. Thus under conditions may be generic feature regulating morphogenesis vivo.
