摘要: Graduated compression stockings have been advocated for prevention of lymphedema after inguinal lymph node dissection (ILND) although scientific evidence their efficacy in preventing is lacking. The primary objective this study was to assess the class II cancer patients following ILND. Secondary objectives were investigate influence on occurrence wound complications and genital edema, health-related quality life (HRQoL) body image. Eighty (45 with melanoma, 35 urogenital tumors) who underwent ILND at two specialized centers randomly allocated stocking use six months or a usual care control group. Lymphedema leg area, complications, HRQoL, image assessed regular intervals prior up 12 No significant differences observed between groups incidence median time frequency Based results current study, routine prescription graduated should be questioned alternative strategies considered.
