摘要: Abstract The main research question of this work is how an urban neighborhood can optimally exploit its local renewable generation potential to cover electricity, heat and cooling demand. Various cost-minimizing energy technology portfolio studies are examined for community in Vienna, Austria. method applied a tailor-made extension the existing open-source model urbs. Additional functionalities services have been implemented. results three scenarios identify variety different trade-offs between utilization, supply within external from outside. introduced performance indicators reveal respective strengths/weaknesses options. In context, economic efficiency geothermal sources connection district network highlighted, which so far received little attention. insights achieved directly support sustainable planning. Future may focus on mapping higher spatial resolution, further enhancement implementation operational scheduling dispatch into modeling approach.
