Family murder followed by suicide

摘要: Four examples of family murder followed by suicide are presented with relevant clinical data from the coroners' reports. In retrospect it would appear that three offenders were suffering severe depression, and fourth showed features morbid jealousy. each case there factors suggestive mental illness apparent before tragedy. This is consistent recent studies alone, raises possibility psychiatric intervention may have altered course events. Though such tragedies never be totally eliminated considered close co-operation between coroner, forensic pathologist psychiatrist promote greater professional understanding these tragedies, provide impetus for detection treatment potentially remediable illness.
