Serosurvey of Ehrlichia canis and Hepatozoon canis infection in dogs in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.

摘要: Antibodies to Ehrlichia canis and Hepatozoon in dogs at the Animal Hospital Yamaguchi University were surveyed potential risk factors for both pathogens evaluated. Among 430 examined, 20 (4.7%) 18 (4.2%) showed positive findings E. H. canis, respectively. Neither, sex nor age was associated with seropositivity of either pathogen, but rate kept outside slightly higher than that inside pathogens. A seropositive reaction observed lived certain cities towns. Beagles, golden retrievers pointers had other breeds whereas shibas, akitas, beagles, mongrels rates canis.
