摘要: The paper presents an experimental and computational study of the inversion process metallic thin-walled conical shells subjected to axial compression. mainly focuses on two aspects: firstly, optimise semi-apical angle a cone get constant collapse load secondly, mechanics development mode collapse. Axial compression aluminium angles between 8° 11° was performed universal testing machine Instron. An axisymmetric finite element model is also presented analysed, using non-linear code FORGE2. Six-noded triangular elements are used for discretising deforming shell domain. material idealised as rigid viscoplastic. Experimental computed results compared validate model. On basis obtained results, presented, analysed discussed.
