摘要: Abstract This study evaluates H.J. Eysenck’s three personality dimensions (neuroticism, extraversion, and psychoticism) in patients with fibromyalgia (FMS) compared healthy controls (HC), analyzes their association clinical, emotional functional variables pain coping strategies. Ninety-two FMS 65 HC completed the abbreviated EPQR, addition to instruments measuring clinical pain, fatigue, sleep, anxiety, depression, health related quality of live (HRQL) Results showed: (1) exhibited greater levels neuroticism psychoticism but not extroversion, comparison HC; (2) group differences all measured remained when were entered as covariates; (3) while was positively associated catastrophizing strategy scores, lower HRQL, associations sparse magnitude; (4) extroversion higher mental HRQL; (5) anxiety HC. Data suggest that only plays a minor role manifestations FMS. However, extraversion appears exert protective influence FMS, it is better outcomes several domains.
