摘要: Microalgae possess numerous cellular mechanisms specifically employed for acclimating the photosynthetic pathways to changes in physical environment. Despite importance of coral-dinoflagellate symbioses, little focus has been given as how symbiotic algae (Symbiodinium spp.) regulate expression their genes. This study used real-time PCR investigate transcript abundance plastid-encoded genes, psbA (encoding D1 protein photosystem II) and psaA P700 I), within cultured Symbiodinium ITS-2 (internal transcribed spacer region) types A20 A13. Transcript was monitored during a low high-light shift, well over full diel light cycle. In addition, characterized three isolates (A20, A13, D4-5) noted another example dinoflagellate plastid gene encoded on minicircle. general, overall incongruence patterns both between other models transcriptionally controlled chloroplast (e.g., Pisum sativum [pea], Sinapis alba [mustard seedling], Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 [cyanobacteria]) suggests that is reliant posttranscriptional homeostatic regulation its proteins.
