摘要: Abstract The formation of crystalline ice through isothermal heating 80 layers amorphous on Pt(1 1 1) at 150 K is studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy. An early indicator for inhomogeneous crystallization provided by the uncharacteristically high Pt 4f peak compared with corresponding uniformly thick case. O 1s spectra unambiguously show that first monolayer exposed after multilayer total coverage. Using relative intensities between contributions to spectra, we estimated ∼46% ∼80% vacuum an average crystallite height ∼41 ∼31 equivalent coverage ∼23 ∼7 layers, respectively.
