摘要: Abstract A procedure for analyzing and designing elastically tailored composite laminates using the STAGS finite element solver has been presented. The methodology used to produce elastic tailoring, namely computer-controlled steering of unidirectionally reinforced material tows, reduced a handful design parameters along with selection construction methods. generality tow-steered ply definition provides user wide variety options laminate design, which can be automatically incorporated any model that is composed shell elements. Furthermore, variable stiffness parameterization formulated so manufacturability assessed during process, plus new ideas tow-steering concepts easily integrated within general framework tailoring definitions. Details necessary implementation definitions hierarchy are provided, format discussed in detail provide easy access choices. Integration automated software demonstrated, large space generated by traversed effectively. Several problems presented confirm usefulness tool as well further establish potential plies design.
