摘要: Robins showed in 1742 that a transverse aerodynamic force on rotating sphere could be detected by suspending it as pendulum. Differences of periodic time conical pendulum motion with spin and orbit parallel opposed have been found to give reasonably accurate measure the lift coefficient, results shown extend knowledge effect down Reynolds number 2 × 10 3 up ratio 12 between peripheral translational velocities.
