摘要: A diesel engine driven metro bus was tested in a chassis dynamometer with 20% biodiesel mixed 80% ultra-low sulfur (ULSD), termed B20, to find out its performance, combustion characteristics and emissions. In this study, B20 chosen instead of 100% (B100) due the fact that, lower calorific value B100, could potentially lose power torque which would make unsuitable climb hills full load during peak hours. The performance such as were found be very similar ULSD. Therefore, there no drivability issue B20. ULSD also having 4.8 degrees more duration than low volatility presence heavier molecules biodiesel. terms emissions, CO HC reduced but NOx increased by an average 4.4% mainly inherent oxygen It that emission PM10 particulates 19% 47% at higher speeds, respectively. Based on findings, it can concluded 820 is suitable choice alternative renewable fuel for existing needs little or modifications improve sustainability reduce environmental (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd.
