摘要: The purpose of this study was to examine qualitatively the context and reasons for condom use non-use among adolescent male perpetrators dating violence. Semi-structured anonymous interviews were conducted with 19 males recruited from intervention programs Interviews included questions about violence perpetration, sexual relationships risk behaviors. analyzed using a content analysis approach coded boys' behaviors contexts. Participants (n=19) aged 17-21 years predominantly white (n=9; 47%) or black (n=4; 21%). Half (n=10; 53%) indicated four more sex partners in past three months; half reported no inconsistent months. Qualitative findings revealed high-risk casual encounters, including 'trains' (1-2 girls having several boys sequentially). Non-use condoms common steady, often abusive, relationships, although infidelity these relationships. These results indicate that is occurring violence, particularly their steady despite reports very high activity infidelity, involvement multiple partners. Sexual health interventions integrated assault prevention efforts tailored adolescents are needed.
