摘要: The complex interaction between machining structural systems and the cutting process results in instability, so-called chatter. In some milling scenarios, damping is a useful phenomenon that can be exploited to mitigate chatter hence improve productivity. present study, experiments are performed evaluate performance of damped considering different tool geometries (edge radius, rake relief angles variable helix/pitch). clearly indicate helix/pitch most significantly increase performance. Additionally, increased edge radius moderately improves performance, whilst have smaller closely coupled effect.
