Activation of Allenes by Gold Complexes: A Theoretical Standpoint

摘要: This review provides an insight into the activation of allenes by gold complexes toward nucleophilic attack. The various possible geometries allene- species, from Z 2 -allenes to 1 allylic cations, are described. From data collected in literature, it is clear that all these intermediates have been met during computational analysis reaction mechanisms. While some retain stereochemical information starting optically active allenes, others may lose planarization. To shed light on matter, factors governing axial- to-center chirality transfer Some concepts illustrated selected examples catalytic transformations, mechanisms which studied computationally.
