摘要: This article describes a new technique for determining an appropriate input pulse and its duration, which are important time-domain studies of ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas. For such studies, the researchers normally prefer EM simulation tools, use different types pulses. The basis choice is bit obscure in most reports appearing open literature. Antenna indeed face problem having suitable guidelines choosing pulse, mathematical approach to generate it, estimating pulse's duration. width or duration cannot be arbitrary. plays significant role reliable response antenna both transmitting receiving modes. successfully addressed this paper, taking UWB monopole as under test. proposed should accurately guide help researcher perform characterization monopole/dipole using tools simulators commercially available.
