摘要: In this study, Berberine colorant extracted from berberis vulgaris root was applied on wool fiber using alum (aluminum potassium sulfate), copper sulfate and dichromate as mordant. The effect of treatment variables such amount mordant, time temperature the color strength dyed fibers examined. fastness properties against washing, light wet rubbing were evaluated. use metal mordants increased goods. Increase in dyeing caused deeper shades. All mordants, rub wash samples, but except case alum. is a cationic dye because it's quaternary ammonium structure can act an antibacterial agent. So, samples tested for activity AATCC test method 100-2004. represented high level activity. extract be considered natural acceptable together with excellent woolen textiles.
