摘要: Thermal convection driven by uniform volumetric energy sources was studied in a horizontal fluid layer bounded from above rigid, isothermal surface and below zero heat-flux surface. The side walls of the domain were assumed to be rigid perfectly insulating. computations formally restricted two-dimensional laminar but carried out for range Rayleigh numbers which spans regimes turbulent flow. results consists streamline isotherm patterns, horizontally averaged temperature distributions, Nusselt at upper Flow fields do not exhibit steady state, reach limiting, quasi-steady values all considered. Correlations number terms Prandtl determined.
