摘要: Most people use more than one computing system for their daily work: an office computer, a corporate laptop travel, and private desktop computer. These machines not only differ in power resources but also environment, including deployed applications, available files, so on. The current trend is leading to even greater number of devices wider range capabilities. This presents major challenge enabling the vision mobile user worker. article shows how developments area service-oriented computing, embedded devices, networking enable user-specific virtual working environments on basis new approaches toward distributed operating systems. systems extend limited capabilities local with (remote) resource pools, aimed at provisioning identical (or similar) any context location. As we explain, henceforth, future employee workspaces will concentrate much mobility, while actual (computational power, storage, data) be maintained through dedicated server farms, thus greatly reducing administration effort enhancing experience.
