摘要: This chapter highlights the impact of global financial crisis on older Americans who were planning to voluntarily relocate in its aftermath, illustrating how instability world economy played out individual lives adults within different social, environmental, and economic contexts. Older are “reworking template,” or reassessing their approaches analyzing housing options. Drawing from an ethnographic study (January 2009–May 2012) relocating (n = 81), this shows various ways population addresses concerns including (1) reconfiguring relationships between sellers buyers (2) rethinking home ownership (3) reconsidering moving (4) redirecting resources. As effects recession may be long-term continue influence actions particular ways, concludes with suggestions for professionals working facing these decisions.
