Prediction of video perceptual quality in the presence of packet loss

摘要: There is an increasing interest in transmitting video services over IP network. As a result, packet loss becomes one important parameter determining the service quality. In this paper, we focus on problem of MPEG streaming and its influence observed quality (Quality Experience). We introduce novel NR (No Reference) objective method, which impairment event based, to estimate short-term perceptual presence loss. By losses measured network will be classified into GOPs (Group Of Pictures) evaluate impact deduced impairment. The second step proposal estimates overall by taking pattern within entire measurement period under consideration. conducted series subjective experiments covering various factors loss, e.g., quantity, type, distribution, investigated their impacts H.264/AVC videos. explored relation between GOP single event. found that behaviour degradation according different ratio can described logistic function. also examined with times events occurring short period. more than two lead unacceptable (MOS value below 2.5). Furthermore, GLM (Generalized Linear Model) model has been proposed case dual impairments.
