摘要: The scientific community is increasingly called upon to provide advice policy-makers (de Kerckhove, D. T., Rennie, M. D., and Cormier, R., 2015, EMBO Reports, 6, 263–6). However, scientists’ perceptions about political involvement vary based on their individual beliefs, values, backgrounds. purpose of this study explore the perceptual factors that are associated with US nanoscientists’ involvement. To examine this, we analyze data from a 2011 mail survey leading nanoscientists. Our results indicate scientists generally supportive in debates. Yet, find some differences across respect For example, Caucasian respondents more than peers. Also, higher risk nanotechnology likely support In addition, who pay attention wishes public Lastly, degree religious faith inversely likelihood agreeing
