摘要: The convergence of acoustically stimulated neural activity onto central and peripheral thermal-stimulated neurons in the preoptic/anterior hypothalamus (POAH) was studied unanesthetized rabbit. POAH single units were either directly thermally with a water-perfused thermode, or indirectly by warming ears an infrared lamp. There no statistical distinction way responded to 89 dB, 510 Hz sound pulse. significant interaction response inhibited skin heating (cold-responsive) acoustic stimulation 52% facilitated, 33% 15% unaffected. It is possible that some are part common pathway leading activation thermal- acoustically-induced changes motor activity.
