摘要: Transformation of chick embryo fibroblasts by Rous sarcoma virus results in decreased amounts a major cell surface protein and collagen. To determine the mechanism accounting for production these proteins, we have measured relative functional mRNAs other transformation-sensitive proteins. Total cellular RNAs extracted from normal cells transformed Schmidt-Ruppin strain were translated cell-free system derived wheat germ. Analysis vitro translation products shows 5-fold reduction translatable mRNA 10-fold two collagen precursors. In addition, increases are observed myosin membrane polypeptides with molecular weights 95,000 78,000; latter proteins increase on transformation, but large part secondary to depletion glucose medium cells. Our data suggest that some changes induced oncogenic viruses due activity specific genes.
