The direct room-temperature synthesis of CeO2-based solid solutions: a novel route to catalysts with a high oxygen storage/transport capacity

摘要: An alternative route for the preparation of CeO2-based solid solution is presented. It shown that high-energy mechanical alloying an effective method nanostructured, single phase, binary solutions type Ce1-xMxO2, with M = Zr, Hf or Tb. Large amounts oxygen, exceeding those in ceria, are accessible at low temperatures, while rapid and complete reoxidation reduced samples indicates a fast oxygen diffusion excellent storage capacity.
