摘要: Abstract This paper presents experimental investigations of the film cooling effectiveness a Micro-Tangential-Jet (MTJ) Film scheme on gas turbine vane using transient Thermochromic Liquid Crystal (TLC) technique. The MTJ is micro-shaped designed so that secondary jet supplied tangentially to surface. combines benefits micro jets and tangential injection. performance one row holes both pressure suction sides were investigated at blowing ratio ranging from 0.5 1.5 side 0.25 0.625 side. average density during was 0.93, Reynolds Number 1.4E+5, based free stream velocity main duct hydraulic diameter. pitch diameter 5 6.5 turbulence intensity all 8.5%. Minor changes in Mach number distribution around airfoil surface observed due presence scheme, compared with case no scheme. showed great for high values excellent lateral spreading. injection over actual surfaces found close, qualitatively, flat plate. A 2-D coolant results, which characteristic continuous slot schemes only. this layer helps minimize rate mixing between streams. help establish uniform thermal loads Furthermore, it noticed decay lower than while spreading better disadvantage increased drop across traditional shaped schemes.
