摘要: Based on the transmission electron micrographs of nacre, existence mineral bridges in organic matrix interface is confirmed. It proposed that microarchitecture nacre should be considered as a “brick-bridge-mortar” (BBM) arrangement rather than traditional “brick and mortar” (BM) one. Experiments analyses indicate effectively affect strength toughness interfaces nacre. Comparison with laminated composite BM structure, SiC/BN, shows pattern crack extension toughening mechanism two materials are different. This reveals play key role mechanisms which gives conceptual guidance material synthesis.
