摘要: Background Red palm weevil, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus Olivier, is one of the most destructive pests harming trees. However, genomic resources for R. are still lacking, limiting ability to discover molecular and genetic means pest control. Methods In this study, PacBio Iso-Seq Illumina RNA-seq were used generate transcriptome from three developmental stages (pupa, 7th-instar larva, adult) increase understanding life cycle characteristics pest. Results Sequencing generated 625,983,256 clean reads, which 63,801 full-length transcripts assembled with N50 3,547 bp. Expression analyses revealed 8,583 differentially expressed genes (DEGs). Moreover, gene ontology (GO) Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis that these DEGs mainly related peroxisome pathway associated metabolic pathways, material transportation organ tissue formation. summary, work provides a valuable basis further research on growth development, expression prediction, control ferrugineus.
