摘要: Abstract Inflammation is a major cause of cancer and may condition its progression. The deregulation the cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway implicated in several pathophysiological processes, including inflammation cancer. Although, targeting with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) COX-2 selective inhibitors has been investigated for years promising results at both preventive therapeutic levels, undesirable side effects limited understanding regulation functionalities COX compromise more extensive application these drugs. Epigenetics bringing additional levels complexity to basic biological pathological processes. signaling biosynthetic pathways by epigenetic mechanisms account new molecular targets therapeutics. Genes are seldom mutated neoplastic cells, but large proportion them show aberrant expression different types A growing body evidence indicates that alterations play critical role genes pathway. This review summarizes current knowledge on contribution processes cancer, getting insights into how be relevant clinical management patients.
