摘要: Results on the nonlinear behavior of Rayleigh–Taylor instability and consequent development shear flow by [Phys. Fluids B 4, 488 (1992)] are presented. It is found that generated at sufficient amplitude to reduce greatly convective transport. For high viscosity, time‐asymptotic state consists an equilibrium with vortex (with islands, or ‘‘cat’s eyes’’), a relaxation oscillation involving interplay between in presence shear. low dominant feature high‐frequency standing wave consisting vortices localized near top bottom boundaries. The localization these due smaller boundary regions. transport largest around there region good confinement center. possible relevance this H mode edge‐localized modes (ELM’s) tokamak edge discussed.
