摘要: The paper describes the development of a simple, lumpedparameter model primary sedimentation dynamics with reference to an intensive, 10‐day experiment at Norwich Sewage Works in eastern England. quantifies successfully interactions among essentially five state variables: total suspended solids, volatile chemical oxygen demand (COD), soluble demand, and ammonium‐N concentrations. In particular, provides insight into settling characteristics different substances forms sewage, it illuminates capacity for COD removal release unit. It is concluded that specialized experimentation, appropriately fast sampling frequency observation, crucial identifying wastewater treatment process dynamics.
