摘要: Abstract The conventional impregnation was improved by acid modification as surface treatment to obtain the higher performance of solid sorbent, potassium carbonate supported on gamma alumina, for carbon dioxide (CO2) sorption. Acid affected shape sorbents. Weak acids, phenol and acetic, provided round with uniform size distribution. In contrast, strong hydrochloric sulfuric, obtained sharp edges irregular sorbent broad CO2 capture capacity weak modification. All modifications could increase area except highest sorption from acetic due better crystallinity condition modified sorbent. Direct time 24 h suggested be suitable method. showed a good regeneration property. compatible continuous mode unit using circulating fluidized bed reactor, which consumed less energy than commercialized liquid amine absorber-stripper unit.
