摘要: Survival probabilities of loggerhead sea turtles ( Caretta caretta ) are estimated for the first time in Mediterranean by analysing 3254 tagging and 134 re-encounter data from this region. Most these were juveniles found at sea. Re-encounters live resightings dead recoveries analysed with Barker’s model, a modified version Cormack-Jolly-Seber model which can combine recapture, resighting recovery data. An annual survival probability 0.73 (CI 95% = 0.67-0.78; n=3254) was obtained, should be considered as conservative estimate due to an unknown, though not negligible, tag loss rate. This study makes preliminary in-water developmental stages population endangered provides insights into magnitude suspected human-induced mortality The used here on could obtain estimates other sets few or no true recaptures but types data, common output programmes involving wide-ranging animals.
