A note on the occurrence of the digenetic trematode Sphaerostoma bramae (Müller) in the intestine of the European eel, Anguilla anguilla (L.)

摘要: The allocreadiid digenean Sphaerostoma bramae (Muller) was found in three of 602 eels, Anguilla anguilla (L.), caught over a period 25 months from drains and rivers the lower River Trent drainage area. Eleven, 15 32 specimens S. were posterior 40% respective host's intestine. Concurrent infestations with Proteocephalus macrocephalus, Acanthocephalus clavula Rhaphidascaris acus observed. results are discussed relation to helminthology ecology eel.
