The Indianization, later Islamization, of was enacted largely trading activities, but also spread help from many Indianized Islamic kingdoms that reigned over parts Indonesian archipelago during this time. Eurasian interaction left behind not only imported goods cultural features, genetic traces. To locate primary areas influence in Indonesia, we have assembled published uniparental data ∼2900 individuals. Frequency distributions show paternal lineages are found commonly maternal lineages. Furthermore, origins these diverse corresponding lineages, predominantly tracing back to West Asia, sub-continent, respectively. likely played a major role dispersing as overlap geographically current distribution individuals carrying markers. Our highlight important migrants contributing complexity diversity across today.
