摘要: Abstract The small strongylid infections of two groups three yearling female Shetland ponies and one tracer pony were studied. One group was set stocked from April to November treated monthly with 5 mg kg −1 albendazole days before turnout until July. other grazed similar pasture July, subsequently removed by sheep added both in September. efficacy methods not completely satisfactory probably because low anthelmintic treatment. There no significant differences between the cyathostome burdens groups. A high proportion populations all consisted inhibited early third stage larvae (L3). finding numbers immature fifth-stage worms indicated that considerable adult permanent originated infection picked up added. In which after treatment July it likely majority worm burden had been ingested as infective
