摘要: The structure of cortical bone at the collagen-mineral level was investigated by means atomic force microscopy. Surfaces specimens treated with collagenase and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) were examined. Images blob-like objects observed in intact specimen became clearly outlined after treatment; sizes blob decreased, suggesting that each had been fragmented treatment. Following EDTA treatment an specimen, image thread-like appeared; thread partly constructed trains blobs other parts threads a periodic pattern along its longer axis. period almost equal to collagen D-period Hodge-Petruska model, indicating are fibrils related mineral phase bone. It concluded minerals deposited on fibrils. A decorated fibril model for spatial relationship between proposed. According our inside is about one forth extrafibrillar mineral.
