摘要: Abstract Human cells respond to heat stress by inducing the binding of a preexisting transcriptional activator (heat shock factor, HSF) DNA. We have isolated recombinant DNA clones for human HSF (HSF1) screening cDNA libraries with fragment. The HSF1 probe was produced PCR primers deduced from conserved amino acids in Drosophila and yeast sequences. mRNA is constitutively expressed HeLa under nonshock conditions encodes protein four leucine zipper motifs. Like its counterpart Drosophila, Escherichia coli absence active as transcription suggesting that intrinsic activity negative control cells. Surprisingly, an independently clone, HSF2, related but significantly different [Schuetz, T. J., Gallo, G. Sheldon, L., Tempst, P. & Kingston, R. E. (1991) Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 88, 6911-6915].
