摘要: Abstract During the oxidation of Zircaloy fuel cladding, large stresses develop in oxide layer. This paper presents two approaches to evaluate metal, modelled as a viscoplastic material, and oxide, considered elastic transverse isotropic. The first approach is computation whole cladding on 1D radial geometry. It evidences compressive hoop weak tensile metal. second 2D finite elements accounting for undulation metal–oxide interface. specific geometry found have an important influence local stress state. In particular, are evidenced near interface, whose sign value depend curvature
