摘要: Objective: Unicameral bone cyst is a nonneoplastic lesion characterized by its tenacity and risk of recurrence. Pathological fracture common often the presenting symptom. The objective present study was to evaluate results hybrid external fixator for treatment unicameral with pathological fracture. Methods: Hybrid performed in twelve patients. These patients presented were managed immediately fixator, whom four had been conservatively at other clinics before they referred our department. located proximal humerus all mean age time surgery 8.7 years, duration follow-up 32.6 months. Radiographic evaluation according criteria Capanna et al., classified as completely healed, healed residual radiolucency (osteolysis), recurred, or having no response. Results: healing period ranged from three eight Eight cysts completely, radiolucent areas visible on radiographs. There recurrence one that radiolucency. All responded treatment. A modulation necessary patients, bars become too short after growth pins loose. No major complications observed. Conclusion: provides early stability, which allows mobilization thus obviates need plaster cast. This method also an return normal activity.
